Synopsis

This is a sweet story of Kade and Roxy and their journeys of discovery. Roxy is a wild child who meets relatively innocent Kade and they embark on a passionate and bumpy ride of emotions and learn how to love each other as well as themselves. Without giving too much away the ending is not what you expect and quite suddenly things change.
Kade was just, well, WOW! A surfer, athletic and good looking and such a gentleman too! He has patience with Roxy and really made me swoon at times! This book is worth reading of nothing else but for him!
Roxy on the other hand has issues and a lot of them, especially when it comes to men but you sense that things with Kade will help her and she seems to be an utterly reformed person for knowing him but the past and her inability to be who she needs to be is her ultimate downfall!
The ending for me was quite heart wrenching and I’m hoping the next instalment gives me some hope for their relationship to develop! The prologue of book two possibly hints at better times!
I struggled in places with some of the dialogue (but think as I’m a Brit it’s probably my British internal monologue that didn’t properly translate some of the Aussie ways of saying things!) and found things in a few places switched quite abruptly but otherwise would say a really lovely read and well done Aleya on your debut!
There is a good bunch of supporting characters too in this book and it leaves potential for some more books too! I CANNOT wait to find out how this story pans out and eagerly await the second book!

Born and raised in Sydney, NSW I am in my thirties and happily married with 3 gorgeous boys.
My first love has always been reading, so the writing side is very natural to me. Favourite books include anything by Abbi Glines, but Fallen too Far is a favourite, Pulse & Collide by Gail McHugh and The Driven trilogy by K Bromberg.
Hobbies of mine are playing netball; shopping and I love listening to music. I add it into my writing frequently.
