FIVE SIZZLING STARS
We are left slightly reeling after part one and on a minor cliffhanger after the roller coaster of Kate’s introduction to Jaxons case and her offer to help. Part Two is equally as steamy and definitely more intriguing and we learn more about all of the main characters.
The plot definitely thickens in this instalment and I thought I had a pretty good idea after part One who the killer might be but Shelly has cleverly thrown into the mix a few curveballs and I am now not so sure!
Kate is maturing very quickly into the BDSM side of her role of assisting Jaxon in finding Alyssa’s killer and her first visit to Benediction uncovers more intrigue and a few more suspects into the mix! Alyssa certainly was a mysterious character and had a few secrets that have been revealed from beyond the grave. The suspense is almost killing me and I am desperate to read on and find out more!
The icing on the cake for me is the utter chemistry between Kate and Jaxon and their sexual connection is hot! The scenes where they appear together are definitely getting hotter and also you get further glimpses from both of them in the post orgasmic haze of their real selves. Nick is also a constant in there too although in this second part you feel less of a connection between him and Kate as the first. It remains to be seen whether this is due to Nick backing off
The ending to this instalment is a definite WTF and it has left me reeling!!! What a cliffhanger and I definitely need to find out what happens next!
COLLARED, PART TWO: GREED PLAYLIST (Spotify)
- No Cosmopolitans or Daiquiris this girl. Kate’s favorite drink is a Sloe Gin Fizz, although in a pinch, she’ll down a few shots of the gin she keeps in her freezer.
- Kate not only rides a Harley, she rebuilt it and does the maintenance herself.
- Let’s just say if the book took place in the Wild West, Kate would win a gun draw.
- She’s tenacious. When she wants something, she’ll do everything to achieve it.
- She’s loyal to a fault. Good for her friends, not so good for Kate.
- She’s no timid virgin. Kate owns her sexuality and doesn’t make any excuses for it.
- She’s not perfect. She pops her anti-anxiety pills—which she keeps in a Tic-Tac dispenser—like candy, and she makes a lousy cup of coffee.
- She gets sarcastic when she’s nervous.
- She rocks out to Eminem when she’s upset.
- Money doesn’t impress her.
