Synopsis

Imagine the worst day of your life. Immerse yourself in the details. How did you feel? Who were you with? What were the consequences?

Recalling my darkest day is as simple as typing a few search terms into a web browser. It only took thirty minutes for me to become the center of a media frenzy that caught the attention of an entire country.

So I hid.

Nine months later and I’m getting better. Moved two hours from home, landed my dream job, and met a delicious new guy.

Healing is that simple, right?

Wrong.

excerpt

“New Point isn’t known for much breaking and entering, but I have to admit, this looks mighty suspicious,” an unmistakably Midwestern accent drawls from behind me, effectively scaring the sweat off my bare shoulders.

A shriek escapes from my lips as I teeter preciously on the wood chair and my hands lose their grip on the white doorframe. The rubber of my flip flop doesn’t provide much traction and my body pitches sideways. In just a second I’ll crash against the deck floor and I’ll spend the summer recovering physically instead of gaining back my old–

Sturdy muscular arms slide around my waist and yank me against an equally firm chest. “Woah, there. I didn’t mean to scare you.” The masculine voice has a smile behind it.

“Probably shouldn’t go sneaking up on someone then,” I mutter once I catch my breath and untangle myself from his grasp. He chuckles at my retort, a rich baritone that makes me feel like shivering.

When I’m a step or two back I’m nearly breathless again, but this time for completely different reasons.

Sturdy was one way to describe his muscular grasp, but now that I have a full frontal view of him, I see my mistake. He’s perfect. Thick arms with nicely defined muscles that don’t bulge too aggressively beneath his white T-shirt, a broad chest, trim waist with low riding blue exercise shorts. And that’s just his body. Bright white teeth gleam at me from behind a broad smile. Thick, dark curly hair begs to have fingers run through it and he has coffee colored eyes framed by long lashes most girls want desperately.

He’s a combination of sultry sex appeal and mischievous intentions as displayed by the twist of his lips. Less than one minute in his presence and I’m practically swooning.

“Who are you?” I blurt out.

With a smirk, he crosses his arms across the planes of chest. “Shouldn’t I be asking the questions, Ms. Breaking and Entering?”

After fighting with her boyfriend, Ettie’s only goal is to drown her sorrows in some Jack Daniels. But when she walks into a country tavern, her attention is immediately redirected to the sexy, older man at the bar. He looks lonely, and sad, and absolutely mouth-watering. Ettie can’t wait to put a smile on his face.

For the first time in two years, Wyatt finds himself jolted out of his grief—and by a spunky, vivacious young woman who somehow sees right into his soul. What follows is a passionate weekend full of more life, laughter, and pure joy than he experienced in twenty years of marriage.

After they part ways, Wyatt realizes that his feelings for Ettie run deeper than lust. He knows she has a boyfriend, but when he finds out that the boyfriend is his own son, Blake, Wyatt is shattered. He despairs of ever overcoming the guilt he’s slowly drowning in. But Ettie’s resilience and optimism might just save him after all.

This Is Now is the sexy, heartwarming story of overcoming grief, embracing love, and learning to live in the moment.

excerpt

He didn’t look up at me when he spoke. He was sopping up hollandaise sauce with a biscuit. “We should do this again, Ettie. Next weekend. How about it?”

My heart was suddenly thundering in my ears. I watched him as he pointedly focused on cleaning his plate. “Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?” I asked.

He finally looked up. Those blue eyes were hypnotic. And heartbreaking. “I’m asking you to have another fun weekend with me. That’s what I’m asking.”

My eyes fluttered as they started to sting. “Do you need to get to know me better before asking me to be your girlfriend?”

His jaw muscles tensed. “Ettie, I…”

“Look, Wyatt. I have had just the absolute best time of my life with you this weekend. I have all the information I need to know I want to be in a relationship with you.”

He snorted and leaned back in his chair. “You don’t know shit about me, Ettie. This was fun. But it was superficial and you know it.”

My chest constricted. I had to take a moment to swallow back the pain. “It wasn’t superficial. I’m sorry it didn’t mean as much to you as it did to me…”

“It meant plenty and that’s why I want to see you again. So let’s do it, Ettie. Next weekend. We’ll meet at the bar Friday and maybe we could road trip down to Gulf Shores or something. Or we could go zip-lining up at Cave City. All kinds of fun shit we could do together. That’s what I want.”

“I want to go home with you.”

He looked away and shook his head in frustration.

The Hunter…

Dare O’Shaughnessy had the world in the palm of his hand. A man known and feared for his ruthlessness, his word was law. The last word he ever expected to hear was no. Until he met her.

The Prey…

Aya Smith despised the ruling class who looked down on hardworking people like her. Sick of being treated unfairly by laws that protect the wealthy and punish the poor, she takes a stand but soon realizes, she might have crossed the wrong man.

The Game…

Created as a government program to assist in the repopulation of the country when an untested drug wipes out millions of women, The Run eventually evolves into something much more sinister. Now played for the amusement of the super rich, women down on their luck find themselves the prizes of sadistic masters.

Aya is forced to volunteer for The Run, and Dare, the most sadistic of all, places her in his crosshairs. She will belong to him, body and soul. But when he catches her will she succumb to his mastery, or will he find more trouble than he bargained for?

Meet the Author

USA Today Bestselling Author Eve Vaughn has always enjoyed creating characters and stories from an early age. As a child she was always getting into mischief, so when she lost her television privileges (which was often), writing served as her outlet. Her stories have gotten quite a bit spicier since then! When she’s not writing or spending time her family, Eve is reading, baking, traveling or kicking butt in 80′s trivia. She loves hearing from her readers.

excerpt
The Hunter meets his Prey……

Dare had anticipated this moment from the time he knew she’d signed on for The Run. Truth be told, he would have preferred that he didn’t have to expend so much energy just to have this one woman in his bed. But somehow, Aya Smith had become a bit of an obsession for him. She’d caught his eye albeit briefly even from across the street. Despite her small stature, she was the kind of person who was larger than life. She had that certain something about her that made people want to be close to her without quite knowing why.

Sure, she was attractive, but he’d had many beautiful women. It intrigued and angered him at the same time that this slip of a woman had consumed so much of his time since their initial confrontation. She’d taken over his fantasies as he imagined all the dirty things he intended to do to her.
As he stood before her, taking in the gentle swell of her curve, Dare grew rock hard. He wanted nothing more than to take her right now but he had already decided their first time together would be more than just a quick tumble on the floor. He wanted to properly savor his victory.

Dare wasn’t used to being thwarted but he couldn’t help but admire how spirited she remained despite her current circumstances. She was a dreg, the bottom of the social order. He had expected someone like to her jump at his original offer but she’d surprised him. Even as he set forth his campaign to show her she’d made a huge mistake, he’d expected her to come to him. And when she didn’t, it had surprised him. Dregs were always looking for handouts. He didn’t think she’d turned him down because of some high moral code she held. She was holding out for a higher prize. Everyone had a price. Even Aya Smith, whether she wanted to admit it or not. She made a worthy adversary, but in the end this was a war he intended to win.

She scowled at him, tapping her small foot against the hardwood floor. “Are you here to gloat?”

“I have no need to gloat. I told you what would happen in the beginning. You chose not to believe me.”

“Well congrat-freakin-lations. What do you want? Shouldn’t I be outside with the rest of the women?”

“This is one of the perks of being the boss, Aya, I get to do what I want.”

“Again, congratulations.” She rolled her eyes and folded her arms over her chest, obscuring his view of her chest.

“You have a lot of attitude for someone in your position, but we’ll fix that. When I have you—”

“What makes you think I’ll allow myself to be caught? Maybe, I’ll make it out.”

Dare narrowed his eyes, while he found her spirit amusing to a point, he was getting tired of her incessant backtalk. It was time to remind her of a few things. “Trust me, Aya, you will be caught. And when I have you, not only will you do what I say, you will love it.

review

This book has been such a surprise!  Having met Jennifer at a recent book signing I realised I’d never read any of her books and wondered why!  So I decided to wait for this release as she was so animated about the fact it was outside of her norm so far had told me so much about it and BOY I wasn’t disappointed!  All I can say is I LOVED it and will definitely be reading more from Jennifer!

This is also a slight diversion for me too as I am not the biggest fan of paranormal but Jennifer has covered me MASSIVELY!  I loved Dante and felt his utter desolation at having to lead a lonely existence through no fault of his own.  The premise of the story is also a fab one too but I won’t say any more in case I spoilt it – all I will say is read it!!!!

Selina is a complex character and initially I wasn’t a massive fan of hers however I warmed to her immensely when her power hungry cut throat persona stated to fall for Dan the lowly post room boy!  Circumstances leading to her first meeting Dante too also smashed the hard exterior and hearing her struggles on a day to day basis warmed me to her.

The chemistry between Selina and both Dan and Dante explodes from the pages and had me gripped.  Who will she choose and will she ever be able to be happy again?!

If there ever was a book that I would recommend to someone as a “different” read then this is it and one that certainly will not disappoint.  Emotional and endearing, it is a story that will make you feel and believe and keep you entertained right until the last page.  I am definitely a die hard fan of Jennifer now and look forward to diving into her other books asap! And I cannot wait for the next in this series!

Five stars from Emthebookbabe for sure!

BLOG TOUR & 5* Review Forever Spencer by Kimberly Knight

Synopsis
Brandon Montgomery didn’t believe in soul mates until he met Spencer. For years, he watched his best friends, Jason and Becca, have the life that he’d always wanted. He wanted to find that special one. His soul mate. His forever.
Now that Brandon and Spencer’s enemies are on trial for the kidnapping and attempted murder of Spencer, Brandon is focused on making her happy. Brandon wants Spencer to be his forever, but when an unexpected houseguest arrives and becomes a bad influence, will Spencer finally have enough of Brandon and leave him, or is their love strong enough to overcome every obstacle they’ll face?

Chapter #1

I never thought for one second that Spencer would say “no” when I proposed to her. But part of me still feared she would.

From the moment I saw her at Club 24, I declared that I was going to marry her. At the time, I thought I was crazy for spewing those words. Hell, Jason thought I was crazy, too. When I blurted that I was going to marry her as I walked towards the treadmills, I had no idea that I actually would want to make her my wife.

I had no idea that she would be the first and only woman to capture my heart and not let go. I thought I loved my high school girlfriend, but nothing compares to the love I feel for Spencer.

I didn’t know her name at the time. I didn’t know her favorite color. I didn’t know how old she was. I didn’t know if she had a boyfriend; I knew nothing about her. It was as if she walked in off the street to change my life forever.

And…she did.

The night I first saw her, I broke up with Christy for good, and it seemed that everything was falling into place as it should until Christy decided to try to kill Spencer. Then, I thought everything was behind us until the asshole from my old college kidnapped Spencer for ransom.

You never think it will happen to you—that it’s only for TV, movies, and fiction novels. But that’s where you’re wrong; there are bad people in this world that do crazy shit, and sadly, I knew them and put Spencer in danger.

Every day was getting closer to the combined trials against Christy, Michael, and Colin for attempted murder and kidnapping. They were combining both trials for all counts, and I knew that it would be easier on Spencer. I hated watching her recount every detail over and over when interviewed by the police, when talking to the District Attorney, and when everyone asked her about the events wanting to know what had happened.

Spencer was starting to become herself again, and the moment I proposed, it was as if I saw all her worries vanish. I had promised Spencer that I would keep her safe after Christy tried to kill her, and this time I was going to.

I knew that if Michael had other people working with him, he wouldn’t go down without naming them as an accomplice. He hadn’t named anyone, yet, and I was hopeful there was no one else after Spencer or my money.

The smile that I had on my face since she said “yes,” hadn’t faded as I walked down the stairs to answer the front door after leaving Spencer to jump in the shower.

I’d envied Jason and Becca’s marriage for years. Every day I hoped I would find someone that would make me happy like Becca did Jason. Spencer was my everything, and my everything said “yes”.

When I reached the front door, I squinted in the peephole, Niner right beside me. “What the fuck?” I said in confusion. “What are you doing here?” I asked after opening the door.

“That’s no way to greet your one and only brother.” Blake smiled and stepped around me before I could invite him in. “You’re not happy to see me?” he asked as he petted Niner, causing him to wag his tail in greeting.

“It’s not that. Of course I am, but now isn’t a good time. Why didn’t you call?”

“I had to get away, and I used the plane ticket you got me for Christmas. I assumed it was an open invitation. Are you and Spencer fighting or something?” he asked, setting his black duffel bag on the floor.

“Just the opposite. I just proposed, and you’re ruining my plans.” I shut the door and headed towards the stairs to join my fiancé in the shower.

“Oh shit! Tonight was the night?” he asked, looking at the staircase that had all the candles still lit.

“Yeah.” I sighed.

“I didn’t know.”

“Just…just stay down here. Go play with Niner or something.”

“I’ll go to a hotel.”

“No. Stay. Just let me go tell Spencer. She’s in the shower.”

Blake had a way of ruining everything. He had good intentions, but who flies almost two thousand miles without calling? My selfish brother, that’s who.

I left Blake, blowing out the candles as I went upstairs to return to Spencer. I couldn’t believe that my brother showed up out of the blue, and of all nights it had to be the night I wanted to see Spencer in nothing but her new diamond ring.

As soon as I entered our bedroom, I began stripping out of my clothes. Blake could wait. I needed a
shower, and I needed a shower with my girl.

“Hey, what took you so long?” Spencer asked, slipping her arms around my neck.

“Blake’s here,” I said, stepping in closer to her so our bodies were flush.

“Really?”

“Yep.” I grabbed her ass and pulled her against me as close as our bodies would allow. I loved having her naked body against me, and I wasn’t going to let my brother ruin my plans.

“Did you know he was coming?”

“Nope, he said he needed to get away and used the plane ticket we gave him for Christmas.”

“Couldn’t he have asked? I mean, this is an important night.”

“Babe, you know how Blake is. He doesn’t always use his head,” I murmured as I started to kiss along her neck.

“I know.” She sighed. “Can he maybe get a hotel room for the night?”

“I guess, but we haven’t seen him in, what? Five months?” I’m not sure why I said that. This was an important night, and Blake had already offered to get a hotel room for the night.

“I know—you’re right. I just wanted to walk around naked for the night,” she said, biting her lower lip and giving me her most innocent smile, making my cock twitch in response.

I was thinking the same exact thing.

“I’ll make it up to you another night—I promise.”

“But that other night won’t be the night you proposed and I said ‘yes’.”

“I know, Baby…” I paused and looked into her eyes. What was I doing? Blake could wait. “What if we get a hotel room in the city, you call in sick tomorrow and we order room service, eat breakfast in bed and then spend the rest of the day with Blake? He can take care of Niner tonight. It will give him time to clear his head, too, since that was the reason he jumped on a plane and flew thousands of miles unannounced.”

“Well, he did come all this way. Maybe we should spend time with him?”

“No, he’ll understand. I’m sure he’ll be here longer than one night. We’ll hang out with him tomorrow. Plus I want to see you wearing nothing but your new ring and a smile for the rest of the night.”

My dick was already hard from seeing Spencer’s naked body, and the moment she smiled after I told her I wanted her to basically be naked the whole night, it stiffened more, agreeing to Spencer being naked all night.

I backed her against the tiled wall, the warm water showering our bodies, and I kissed her starting with her lips. She moaned when my tongue swiped inside her mouth and continued moaning as I thrust into her with my hard, bare length, her body sliding against the slippery wall, not stopping until she screamed my name for a second time in twenty minutes.

I loved the feel of Spencer’s warmth wrapped around my dick with nothing covering it. All these years, I never went without a condom, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was missing out, but it never felt right.

Now, with Spencer, it felt right—it felt perfect.

~

After packing a bag for the night, Spencer and I walked down to tell Blake the plan. I didn’t know why he needed to “get away”, but I didn’t care. He was my brother, but his problems could wait a night.

“Hey, Buddy,” Spencer said, kneeling down to love on Niner as he ran around the corner to us. “You and your daddy are very sneaky.”

“Well, it was all his idea.” I laughed.

“Spencer!” Blake said, walking up to Spencer with open arms. “How’s my Poker Shark?”

“Hey, Blake, it’s good to see you. How are you?”

Your Poker Shark?” I questioned.

“Anyone who can beat you is my Poker Shark,” Blake said then turned back to Spencer. “I’m good, Spence. Sorry to come unannounced. I had no idea tonight was the night. I should have called first.”

“It’s okay. It will be fun having you here. How long are you planning on visiting?”

“A few days—maybe a week tops, if that’s okay?”

“That’s fine with me. You and Brandon can have quality brother time.” She smiled at both of us.

It would be nice having my brother visiting. Since moving to California, I’ve barely seen him.

“Spencer and I are getting a hotel room in the city tonight. Can you take care of Niner until tomorrow? You can take Spencer’s car and meet us for lunch, and we can spend the afternoon with you…give you a mini tour of San Francisco,” I said.

“Nah, I should be the one to get a hotel room,” Blake said, taking his phone out of his pocket.

“It’s okay. Really. This way, I don’t have to cook and can spend more time naked with Spencer,” I said, slapping Spencer’s ass.

“Whoa, TMI, Babe, T.M.I.”

“Well, if you insist, but let me see the rock before you leave,” Blake said.

Spencer stuck out her hand, her diamond sparkling in the light with a smile that matched. A smile instantly appeared on my face, too.

“Damn, Bro, you’re going to make me compete with that?” Blake asked, looking over me.

“You’re proposing to Stacey?” Spencer asked.

“Oh, no, no, no—I will never get married. I’m just messin’ with Brandon,” he said, slapping me on the shoulder.

“You two broke up again?” Spencer asked, my eyes darting between the two of them.

“You guys go—enjoy your night. We’ll talk about all this tomorrow,” Blake said.

I couldn’t agree more.

~

While Spencer and Blake chit chatted, I called around to different hotels to make a reservation for the night in the city. A lot of places were sold out or only had mediocre rooms. Even though tonight didn’t exactly go as planned, it was turning out to be better than I’d planned.

I would never tell Blake, but him showing up allowed me to book a hotel room in the city with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. I should have done that already, but I guess things have a way of working themselves out. My plan for home was just to have a glass of wine and a bath, but champagne and strawberries made the night even better.

Spencer and I drove into the city, and after I valet parked at the Ritz Carlton, I checked us into our room and confirmed with the front desk clerk and manager that everything was set for our arrival.

Even though it was short notice, they were going to draw a bath with roses, place candles around the
tub, have champagne chilling, and have a plate of strawberries for us once we arrived. Usually they required notice, but the front desk manager was a regular at Club 24, and in exchange, I would take care of a year membership for him.

“Ready to go, future Mrs. Montgomery?” I asked, approaching where Spencer sat on a couch in the lobby.

“Yep.”

We rode the elevator up with a bellboy and talked about my proposal. It seemed that Spencer was still in shock that I had proposed. Maybe not the fact that I had proposed because she knew I wanted to make her my wife, but more of the timing of the proposal.

I watched Spencer take in the hotel suite when we entered. I was in awe at how quickly everything was done, but it was perfect. I tipped the bellboy then followed Spencer as she inspected the glowing bathroom.

“How did you do this?” she asked.

“When I called to make the reservation, I asked them to do it. I was going to do something similar at home for after dinner.”

“Is the water still warm?” Spencer asked, leaning over and dipped her hand into the tub. “Oh it’s perfect. How did I get so lucky?”

How did she get lucky? I was the lucky one. I knew that Spencer was made for me. I never really believed in soul mates before, but after watching Becca and Jason for years, I knew there was such a thing. I just never knew I would find mine.

“No, the question is: How did I get so lucky?” I said, kissing her softly. “And there should be…” I turned and started to walk out of the bathroom, “champagne and strawberries here, too.” I looked over at the desk to where a tray of strawberries sat with a bucket with ice and a bottle of champagne. “Shall we?” I asked, nudging my head towards the steaming bathtub holding the tray and bucket.

“Yes, we shall,” she said with a smile.

After we took a relaxing bath and ate room service, Spencer placed the tray outside the door. When she turned to stand in front of the bed, peering down at me, she was biting her lip and looking at me like she wanted to devour me.

“You know what happens when you look at me that way, right?” I asked, lying on the bed with my arms behind my head.

She paused, looking over my entire body. My dick was instantly up and ready to play again. “No, what
happens?” she asked.

“Why don’t you come over here and find out?” I smiled.

Spencer walked over to the side of the bed where I lay, and I sat up, swinging my legs to cage her in as I slowly started to untie her robe. The robe fell to the floor, pooling around her feet, and she stood there naked in front of me.

“You’re so beautiful,” I whispered, admiring her naked body.

“And you’re so fucking hot!” she blurted, making us both laugh a little.

“Well, I’m glad you think so. If you didn’t, we would have a problem,” I said, leaning forward and placing a kiss on her stomach.

Her hands ran through my hair then down to my neck. She bent down enough for me to suck on her breast, flicking her nipple with my tongue until it puckered. I loved every inch of her soft skin. It was sweet and salty: a perfect combination that made my mouth water.

I kissed my way down the valley of her chest and to her other nipple, making it pucker like the other side. My hands moved over her back to her ass, and I pulled her forward as I leaned back on the bed. My mouth still sucked her tits, making her moan as she lay on top of me.

I slowly turned her over, her legs hanging off the side of the bed with her back flat on the firm mattress.
My tongue dragged along her collarbone, then slowly I ran my tongue up the side of her neck before finally kissing her soft lips, tasting a faint hint of champagne. She reached between us, loosening the tie of my robe as our tongues tasted one another.

“Hold on,” I said, rising off of her to stand up.

“Wha…what? Why?” she asked, trying to reach for me.

“I have an idea,” I said, shrugging my robe off.

I walked over and grabbed the champagne and ice bucket from the desk in the room. Reaching my hand in the melting ice, I grabbed a cube and looked up at Spencer, who had moved to the center of the bed. I watched as Spencer slipped her hand down between her legs and started to rub herself.

“I love it when you play with yourself,” I groaned.

She continued to play with herself, the ice melting in my hands, and I lay on the side of her, circling
the freezing ice around her nipple and then the other. She moaned, rubbing her clit faster, water cascading down her body and onto the bed as I slid the ice cube down her belly toward her center.

Using the ice, I slid it down to Spencer’s navel, rubbing on her stomach until the remaining ice melted, some of it pooling in her belly button. I leaned over and slurped the water out, then reached over and grabbed another ice cube and the champagne bottle.

Goosebumps rose as I slid another ice cube down her stomach again, not stopping at her belly button this time, but continuing further to her hand that still stroked her clit.

“Here, use this,” I said, handing her the ice cube and returning to the bucket to grab more ice.

She slid the ice up and down her slit, the ice disappearing as I watched. My hard, throbbing cock pressed into her outer thigh, loving the feel of her skin as I slid two ice cubes around her torso.

The ice melted, and I grabbed the champagne again and slowly poured it over her stomach. “Mmmmm, you taste even better like this,” I said, drinking the champagne from her chest valley and navel.

She reached her free hand between our sides and stroked my dick, and I hissed out a groan at the contact. “Will you do it—please?” she begged.

I loved watching Spencer please herself, but I loved being the one to make her come, knowing it was my touch that pleased her. She released me, and I moved between her legs, crouching down and licking between her legs, drinking her arousal. She moaned, and I glanced up, peering at her as my tongue continued to lick and Spencer kneaded each tit.

My tongue slid up, swirling around her clit, and she moaned again. I loved hearing her moan in
pleasure—pleasure I was creating.

“Even though,” I said between a swipe with my tongue, “I just tasted this not that many hours ago, I will never get tired of tasting you.

“Yeah… don’t stop,” she moaned again.

I didn’t stop. My tongue flicked her clit until she screamed, her orgasm causing her to stiffen and arch
off the bed. “Fuck me!” she panted.

“Oh, I plan on it, future Mrs. Montgomery. On your knees.”

She lay there for a moment, her body coming down from her high with me admiring her beauty as I sat back on my heels. Spencer was going to be my wife, and she made me a happy man—a very
happy man.

She got to her hands and knees, and the bed dipped as I came up and positioned myself behind her. I pressed against her pussy, her juices coating the tip of my cock, and I slid in, not thinking twice about using a condom.

Her back arched like a cat, her warmth engulfing my dick. My balls slapped against her pussy as I increased my thrusts, gripping her hips tight as I pounded into her.

Spencer bucked her hips back, meeting my thrusts. “Fuck,” she moaned, her body shattering and gripping my cock tight, causing me to lose it, and I came, groaning my own release.

I pulled out, cum dripping down the back of her thigh. Reaching over, I grabbed a tissue from the nightstand to clean it up.

“This is one bad thing about not wearing condoms,” she said.

“What is?”

“It’s messy,” she said, giggling slightly.

“Now I just need to invest in tissues instead of condoms,” I said, kissing her right butt cheek before
slapping it playfully.

After cleaning up, we lay wrapped around each other, and I fell asleep with my fiancé in my arms.

review

I have absolutely loved this series and following Brandon and Spencer in their beautiful love story! The addition of the novella series has been a fantastic end to the journey of this couple.

Forever Spencer has been all I hoped for and much, much more! Once again seeing how much Brandon truly loves Spencer has melted me into a puddle several times! Have reread each book before the novellas and it is truly amazing how Kimberly has nailed the alternate perspective perfectly! Brandon is undoubtedly hot too and once again we get the hot and steamy with the warm and fuzzy too!

This particular novella has added a lot to the overall story and goes well beyond the ending in Anything Like Me and had left me really satisfied and warmed my heart once more! I am really going to miss the highs and lows of this fabulous couple and look forward to hearing Blake’s story hopefully in the future!

Once again Kimberly you have created perfection and for me Brandon’s POV’s have totally outshone Spencer’s and he will go down in history as one of my favourite Book boyfriends ever!

Five “I’m utterly gutted its all over” stars from me!

Synopsis

Can the Devil be Forgiven?

Everything is fun and games till someone gets hurt, and what Jameson Kane did to Tatum O’Shea goes so far beyond hurt, he is well into the realm of unforgivable. Tate says she wants him gone for good, and he quickly learns that the old saying, “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone”, is most definitely true.

But Jameson has never been very good at following instructions, and when Satan decides to seek redemption, he’ll go to great lengths to get it. He proposes one last game – one to end them all, if she agrees to play. He is very confident that he can win, but Tate warns him that’s not possible; she will not lose again. Little does she know, Jameson is prepared to do whatever it takes. Prepared to lay the entire world at her feet. Prepared to bear his soul.

What he didn’t count on, though, was handing the damn thing over.

Now he can only pray that his evil ways haven’t rubbed off on Tate too much. Sometimes, it’s very difficult to tell who the Devil really is …

WARNING: contains a semi-reformed devil, a woman scorned, and more Sanders than anyone has a right to witness. Also graphic sexual situations and strong language.

excerpt

Jameson hadn’t seen how it had started, just how it had ended. When he’d walked into Sanders’ room and saw a man in a suit bent over Tatum, he had thought it was actually Sanders himself, at first. Talk about upsetting. Sanders was like a son to Jameson, he didn’t want to have to kill him.

But it wasn’t Sanders. It was Dunn, Jameson’s business partner there in Boston. A man Jameson had gone to school with, a man he had known for a long time. Dunn knew that Tate was off limits. Tate knew that Jameson didn’t want her to sleep with any of his friends or colleagues. Breaking rules was apparently par for the course that night. Jameson had wanted to murder them both, but he’d settled for beating the shit out of Dunn, and then kicking Tatum out of the house. He hadn’t bothered to look in the bathroom. He never bothered to look at anything, ever. He didn’t have to – he didn’t care. Right? Right?

She had bled. How could I not notice that she was bleeding? Even I never made her bleed.

Jameson pressed his back against the door, then slid in to a sitting position. Put his head in his hands. He was a Yale graduate. He owned multiple businesses, in multiple countries. He played the stock market like he’d invented it, and owned real estate so pricey, even Donald Trump was interested. He was considered by many to be a very smart, calculating man.

But suddenly he felt very stupid. Brought down by a woman with black hair and dark eyes. A sexy wit and a sexier body. A bartender, coupon clipper, temp worker. A college drop out turned party girl, with loose morals and legs that rarely closed.
So much better than him, in every way, shape, and form.

Her only downside was thinking she could use sex as a weapon. She’d always been too naive to realize that sometimes, weapons could backfire.

It had certainly backfired on him.

Meet the Author

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since …, forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.Social Links

Meet the Author

Taryn discovered her love for books at an early age, spending many hours lost in someone else’s story.

It wasn’t until well into adult hood that she discovered, late at night while the house was quiet, that she had just as many stories inside her just waiting to be let out. Writing has been a way for her to step away from reality and live a bit through her fun and sometimes damaged characters. You will almost always find a Happy Ever After at the end of her stories. She can’t help it, it’s an addiction.

She’s a Southwestern girl living a Mid-Atlantic life with her husband of seventeen years and two incredible daughters who inspire her daily. She is proud to be an advocate for her child with autism, and feels incredibly blessed to be able to see the world through her eyes. Her daughters teach her more than she could ever teach them.

She enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her family, but cherishes those quiet nights after everyone is asleep when she can curl up on the couch with her fifteen year old dog. (Shh, don’t tell…He’s not supposed to be on the couch.)
Keep an eye out for more from her!

SYNOPSIS:
Fight or flight had
never been a question for feisty Boston physical therapist Rylie Hemmons, until
she met the man whose touch made her reconsider everything she’d worked so hard
to create.

When Rylie takes on new
patient Mitch Camden after his ski-accident, she is overwhelmed by a physical
attraction she’s never before experienced.

Conflicted over her
desire for Mitch and maintaining her professional oath, she works to keep the
personal boundaries, just as Mitch is equally determined to close the
distance.
At the risk of
jeopardizing her career and reputation, Rylie is forced to make a life-altering
decision that may have her running from what she needs most.

EXCERPT:

“Sports
car. I knew it! Trying to make up for a lack of something, Pretty Boy?”
“I’ve
never heard any complaints about my lack of
anything
.”
Hmm. Whatever, Stud Muffin.
Mitch
opened up the passenger side door and held the door so Rylie could place the
bag on the seat. She leaned in and carefully set the bag on the floor. Shifting
herself up right, she turned around and came face-to-face with Mitch, who now
was just inches of her. One step closer and he would have her pinned against
the doorframe.
Her
breath caught and a warm tingle shot up her spine. He was too close. Way too
close. Totally in her personal space. She willed him to move. Instinctively,
her hand rose to place it on his chest, presumably to push him away. His hand
shot out and grabbed her wrist, yanking her toward him.
Breathe.
“I’m
glad I ran into you, IQ,” he whispered into her ear, his hand dropping her
wrist and moving to her face to brush a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “I
appreciate your assistance and hope I can reciprocate in the very near future.”
Rylie’s
hand remained on his chest. She could feel his body heat and the beating rhythm
of his heart. She meant to push him away, to maneuver around him and place
herself a safe distance from him. But her hand somehow had a mind of its own
and stayed there, enjoying the texture of his soft sweater and the marbled feel
of his chest. In fact, the other hand joined in on its own volition. His lips
quirked up, apparently showing his approval.
She
had just opened her mouth to say something and without warning, his mouth was
upon hers in lightning-fast speed. He placed his hands on the sides of her face
and tilted her head, allowing him to gain access to her lips. He gently pried
her lips open, rubbing his tongue sensually along her bottom lip. Rylie’s mind
rebelled, but her mouth betrayed her, giving in to the suppleness of his
kissable lips. Her first instinct was to push him away and knee him in the
balls, but the feeling was so intense and pleasurable, she gave in to the
feeling that she was floating.
